Active holiday in South Tyrol – from hiking to paragliding

Active holiday in South Tyrol – from hiking to paragliding

Are you looking for an active holiday with a great variety of different activities? How about some tandem paragliding off the Seiser Alm down to our Singerhof? In the holiday area Seiser Alm you have 33 bike routes to chose from, and at Alps Activ in Kastelruth you can rent mountain bikes. On the 18-hole golf course Kastelruth Seiser Alm you can improve your handicap during your active holiday in South Tyrol, and if you prefer horse riding, visit our horse ranch, within 5 minutes walking distance in St. Valentin / Kastelruth. If you are looking for bathing fun, you can go to the public swimming pool in Telfen or Lake Völser Weiher in summer, and on bad weather days or in winter the indoor pools Mardolomit in Grönden and Aquaarena in Brixen await your visit. Those who do not want to do without jogging during their active holiday can find their ideal track in the Running Park Seiser Alm, which you can enter right in front of our farmstead. A further possibility to explore the surroundings is the adventure path “Hexenquellen” (witches’ wells) at the Tirlerhof on the Seiser Alm, which is perfectly suited for all ages due to its moderate level difference and a total duration of only 1.5 hours. Activities like Nordic walking, climbing in the climbing garden Klettergarten Gröden or visiting the thermal bath Wellness Therme Meran round off your active holiday in South Tyrol.

Art and cultural activities

Art and cultural activities

On an active holiday in South Tyrol, art and culture fans are recommended to visit the farm museum Bauernmuseum Tschötscherhof, the Schulmuseum Tagusens or the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology, where you can meet Ötzi. The Kastelruth region furthermore has numerous castles, fortresses and castle ruins to offer, such as Prösles Castle, Trostburg Castle and the castle ruin Hauenstein. A special highlight are the gardens of Castle Trautmannsdorf in Meran. Right in front of the Singerhof stands the picturesque little Church of St. Valentin, and in Kastelruth and Seis you can visit magnificent parish churches or savour local specialities on the farmers’ market. A further recommendation is a visit to the herb farm Pflegerhof-Kräuterhofs in St. Oswald / Seis: the organic farm’s own shop is open all year long. The Malenger mill in St. Vigil is still used for grinding grain today, and moreover it is situated on the beautiful Frötschbach creek, which makes it an excellent destination.
